The whole mechanism, start to finish. Lock any Solana coin for an hour or a week, earn SOL every 10 minutes, and know exactly what leaving early costs.
01
A vault for any coin.
Any SPL or Token-2022 token can have a Conviction vault. Its project can create one, or anyone else can. Creating one is permissionless.
A vault holds two things: the tokens people lock, and the SOL that flows in to reward them. Your coin stays your coin; the vault just sits beside it.
02
Five ways in.
Every reward is paid to lockers in SOL.
Creator fees
Creators point their launchpad creator-fee or rewards wallet at the vault address. Every fee the coin earns flows to lockers.
Project top-ups
Teams deposit SOL from their treasury, once or on a daily or weekly schedule.
Transfer fees
Token-2022 tokens with a transfer fee can route the withheld fees to the vault.
Tips
Anyone can send SOL to a coin's vault to reward everyone locked in it.
Early-exit penalties
Half of every early-exit penalty goes to the people still locked. The other half is burned.
03
Lock longer, weigh more.
Your share of every payout is your weight divided by everyone's weight. Weight = amount × multiplier.

Turn on auto-relock and the lock rolls over at the same tier when it ends, so you keep earning without coming back.
04
Paid every 10 minutes.
Rewards are split at every 10-minute epoch, pro rata by weight. Claim whenever you like.
A new lock starts earning from the first full epoch after it's created, so nobody earns for a payout they weren't locked through.
05
The 60-minute drip.
Every deposit (fees, top-ups, tips, penalties) streams out evenly over the next hour instead of landing in one payout.
Why? Without it, someone could lock seconds before a big tip lands and take an outsized slice of it. With the drip, a deposit is shared across six payouts, so rewards follow the people who actually stay through them.
The 60-minute reward drip
No sniping the big tip.
Every deposit streams out evenly over the next hour, one slice per payout. Locking a minute before a big deposit only earns the slices you're still around for.
Each payout gets 1 SOL. Rewards track who held through the hour.
06
Leave early, pay the stayers.
You can always leave a lock early. The penalty starts at 50% and falls steadily to 0% at unlock. Half of the penalty is burned, and half is paid to everyone still locked in that vault. Rewards you've already earned stay yours.
The paper-hands penalty
Paper hands pay diamond hands.
Leaving early costs 50% at the start, falling steadily to 0% at unlock. Half the penalty is burned. The other half goes to everyone still locked.

07
Sell the lock, not the bag.
Every lock is a transferable position (an NFT). If it has more than an hour left, you can list it on the lock market instead of paying the penalty.
Buyers get the tokens at unlock plus all future rewards, along with any rewards the position has earned but not claimed. Listings show amount, tier, time left, rewards so far and the discount to current value.
08
The Conviction Score.
Every vault shows three numbers, live.
% of supply locked
How much of the coin is committed.
Average lock
How long, in hours, weighted by amount.
Lockers
How many wallets are in.

For sorting, the three blend into a 0–100 score: 55% share locked (full marks at 50%), 30% average lock (full marks at 3 days), 15% lockers (log scale). Weights not final
09
Dev Lock: trust, on the dial.
Creators and teams can lock their own supply in public, for a custom period up to 365 days. The vault shows a verified badge.
Dev Locks earn the 7-day multiplier, because their purpose is trust, not yield. Like any lock, leaving early costs a penalty that goes to holders.

10
$CONVICTION, the protocol coin.
Protocol fees go to people who lock $CONVICTION, using exactly the same lock system as every other vault.
Locked $CONVICTION also boosts your weight in every other vault you're locked in, by up to 1.5×.
Not a protocol fee: half burned, half to the vault's lockers
12
The risks, in plain English.
Locked means locked
You can't sell locked tokens until they unlock. The only way out early is the penalty, or selling the position on the lock market if someone wants to buy it.
Prices move, fast
A token can lose most of its value within an hour. Rewards are paid in SOL, but they may not make up for a falling price, and locking stops you from selling into a drop.
Rewards aren't promised
Rewards depend on what flows into each vault: fees, top-ups, transfer fees, tips and penalties. If trading stops, rewards can fall to zero. Every figure we show is an estimate from the last hour.
Smart contract risk
Conviction runs on smart contracts. Bugs, exploits or problems with Solana itself could cause losses. Audits reduce this risk but can't remove it.
Any token can have a vault
A vault is not an endorsement. Anyone can create one for any token, including tokens that fail or were never meant to succeed. Do your own research.
Nothing on this site is financial advice. Only lock what you could afford to lose.
